StoryFans is quite a different type of writing site. You upload a story (short stories only; the website doesn’t have an “add chapters” capability) and it will get to the top of its category (either children’s, fantasy, general, horror, mystery, romance, sci-fi, thriller, or young adult) based on how many Facebook “likes” it picks up. The concept is interesting and may be very catchy, considering how many people are on Facebook.
Once a story is posted, there is a commenting capability, which can be helpful. Two caveats, though – stories cannot be shorter than 200 words and they must be complete. No excerpts!
The site is simple, good-looking, and easy to navigate. It might be a good way to link your Facebook friends over to your writing. 🙂
